Passport Seva Kendra Bangalore is the new center for accepting all new Passport applications. You will need to go to PSK Bangalore if you are applying for a passport. All the details of the Passport Seva Kendra can be found online on their website www.passportindia.gov.in (link). The online service currently accepts passport applications only for Indian citizens residing in India.

Hi All,
The passport site is completely owned by the brokers/agents, where we can not book a single slot via tatkal process. I have been trying to book the TATKAL slot for me from last 1 month, not able to get a single slot.
When I checked with agents, they asked me to provide the docs and after submitting the docs, they were able to get the slot, not sure how they got the slot. This is the worst site that I ever seen in my life.
If the people working in Passport office are only working for MONEY, they can beg outside and they can earn money. They are such a lazy-idiotic people.
Could you give me information of brokers? I have been trying to book a slot from past 15 days but in vain. Atleast will try to through brokers/agents.

tout will approach you, although he talks like a travel agent, he represents[corrupt] passport office officials.

online bookin quota is lik available for some time.the quota opens at around 8 and stays for random time depends.lik ive booked a couple of times.but this is cheating that they hijack proxy.its the right of citizens,the public.we shud raise a voice against them.
Government has to close the travel agents first.then only ordinary public can get the TATKAl slot .government should not bow for travel agents.
Trying to get an appointment for the last few days.Impossible.Let then extend for 6 months.This horrible.
I have tried for takal appointment for several days, logging on at 8 am sharp. But never got a chance to get appointment. I hear the going rate is between 3-7 thousand rupees for one tatkal appointment!!
Just contact any travel agent in your town and he will direct you to the right person who will get you the appointment. Well, in my case even after paying Rs 3000 they could not get appointment, but sincerely returned the money!!!

Hi, Its not this complex. Try getting the slots online at 9 AM sharp. You shud be able to get the normal appointment for the next day.

Its not that complex.. only thing is
1. Be ready with filled application form and submitt it suceesfully.
2. Click on the Manage appointment link. in your Home page .
Note: For time being they issue time slot in the morning 8 AM onwards.
3. Next you ll be able to do everything on your own. that becomes easy.
You ll be able to manage to get the appointment for next day itself. (except Sat and Sun).

i totally agree with you geetha, this is turning out to be the next biggest scam.. just figure this everybody, about 200 appointments a day, each running at average 5000 rupees beyond the prescribed fee, it makes it 10,00,000 a day! i sincerely think we should stem this.. this money is obviously being circulated among the officials and the brokers for absolutely no reason.. i spoke to some person ashu has been advertising just to know this scam, and this person is absolutely confident that he will get me an appointment right next day! how is it even possible if the system is not rigged????

Thanks Prabhu. Here is the experience I had. I had uploaded e-form on 17th Apr and had been out of station later. I cameback and tried getting the appointment at 9 AM and I got the 9:15 slot at Lalbagh office. Today I had been thr and they suggested me to go for Tatkaal which took just 15 minutes all in all – in all 3 counters. Had to just wait for token for abt 30 minutes but once in, it was a delighful experience. I am very very happy with PSK service. I checked with few who opted for normal from tatkaal and theirs also is being done at a good speed. Let us not make the life of common man difficult by unncecessarily wasting our money on brokers who are not even fit getting themselves a passport!! We should avoid misguiding people and also spend the money u were ready to pay to agent to NGOs.

Hi why don’t you all report it to the concerned officials both at the regional passport office as well as ministry of external affairs. All the email ids are available on website. A small complain will surely help in long run. Last week I sent a strong email to several concerned officials regarding arbitrariness at passport Kendra. all I am no agent and I am writing this comment on special request from Rahul as because I know him personally and
he feels if he writes anything here to support me , it would look as if he is promoting me(yes I went through all
the comments above!).According to Rahul yesterday he stopped by this website to check if anyone has utilized the
info he has provided about me or not and he saw one furious comment from someone called Nikitha. He called me up and
asked if I have really spoken to someone called Nikitha or not in recent times(I guess Rahul personally felt bad
that he was promoting the wrong guy to help others) and spoken all those(given in Nikitha’s comment). I could not
recall anyone called Nikitha but I remember someone called Maithili who called me yesterday around 1 PM and was
asking for help for TATKAL passport. So if Nikitha is the same person(in disguise) then I would like to quote the
highlights of her post once and ans them.

to book an online appoinment when it can be done using a computer and a good understanding of how online booking
works. Obvoisly I could have faked the office address but I was just honest to you so I said ‘There is no office as

I am not an agent and I do it at my leisure time. I see it as a service which I am providing to others who are not
able to book appoinments due to to some corrupt officials and travel agents blocking the slots. I started this 2

and then she told me that she found online that so many people are suffering so requested me to do it for others if
someone is in urgent need.I agreed but soon I was overwhelmed by too many requests by people known to me and her. So
I started charging a small amount as helping too may people was completely occupying me for several hours.I charge a
fee not because I am agent or I have influential links or I know any illegal way of doing it but I have a very good
knowledge of computers(and it is impossible to give a service fo free forever, you know the pain if you have really
done it). Rahul was the second guy who paid money and he asked me for my permission to post my number and I approved
thinking it might help others but it seems people here judge others too quickly.
Please call me only if you think of me as someone who is helping you out(and you are paying money because you are
getting a service). You do not need to pay again if you get rejected by passport officials on your first appoinment
and you want another appoinment, I will do it for free(I can afford to offer you this as I am not the middleman and

I got an appointment for tatkal (re-issue of passport) from one of the agents/people mentioned in this thread. All the documents were perfect and my current passport was cancelled. The person at the A counter said it will take 3 days for my passport to arrive. Its been 2 weeks and the status still shows as “processing”.
Is it because I went thru an agent and they have some internal connection and are waiting for me to pay them more money to get the PP dispatched?

After going through some of the posts above, I thought of sharing my experience with PSK to help the common people understand the system.
I wanted to renew my wife’s passport as it was about to ****** in Dec 2011, hence decided to apply for renewal.
I submitted the online form (at www.passportindia.gov.in) on 26th July around 2:00 PM and immediately tried to take an appointment.
To my surprize, I was getting a message that “No Slots are available”. On 26th, I tried multiple times and got the same message.
I was worried and thought of googling it to find out the issue, I went through above posts and many people suggested to take an appointment in the morning between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM.
So, on 27th July morning, I logged in to take an appointment and boom…I got multiple slots available for 28th July. I immediately booked the 11:15 slot.
My wife went there on 28th as per schedule and she could submit her application without any hassle.
The feedback I got is :
1) The PSK environment & staff is very friendly and they intimate you about next steps as and when required
2) The overall process flow is very much improved compared to process flow at RPO Bangalore.
I had renewed my passport in 2008, at RPO Bangalore which I thought, was very good. But I think PSK is very much improved version.
Regarding the online appointment, I think, PSK issues only certain numbers (200 or 250) of appointments per day.
They are also probably not issuing far future appointments.That is, they will issue the appointments only for the immediate next day or next to next working day but not beyond that.
To conclude I think PSK is a huge improvement in the passport system compared to my first passport issued in 1998.
PSKs are meant to facilitate common people and I think we should utilize this at full potential. Wasting money on third party to get your passport, does not seem to be a need now.

In continuation to my above post on 4th August, I would like to inform that we got the passport today from the post office.
The speed at which the passport has been delivered is amaizing. (Considering the fact that this required Police Verification as well). We applied on 2nd August and 10th August Passport was dispatched.
I was expecting atleast a month, but this is just unbelivable.

I am going to file RTI to teach a lesson and get rid of these unscrupulous agents. Following details we can demand in RTI
1. List of people who had taken online appointments in last 3 months. ( The names may be different for all appointments/ Difficult to catch agents/brokers with this).
2. We can ask for the IP address from where the appointments has been made.( Using this we can really nab the culprits).
People we have tools available to eradicate corruption. We should use them effectively. Many people may be in hurry don’t want to go with RTI. But I am not in hurry. I have time to pursue this and I will try my best to expose the corrupts.

I just came back from the Passport Seva Kendra in Bangalore Sai Arcade.
I should admit that the process is very much streamlined
1) To get the appointment slot , you need to login to the website at 6pm sharp. Slots opens by 6pm everyday. There is no use in u checking after that as the slots gets filled very fast. Even if the website is slow please be patient , you will be awarded. Don’t forget the time is 6PM IST
2)Don’t ever waste your money contacting any third party , This process isn’t complicated
3)Make sure you have all the necessary documents. Please check with the toll free number of passport seva-kendra to verify your documents are correct
4) You would get a token number and u will move thru a,b,c counters. I finished the entire process in 30 mins .It was a tatkal
